Blackbird Tattoo & Piercing is a two-room, four-person studio off a laneway near Brunswick Street, Fitzroy, opened by Isaac Wren in 2015 and built around one rule: a proper consultation and an approved stencil before anything is booked in. Isaac and Priya Doshi tattoo, Theo Sable runs the piercing room he built in 2019, and Grace Okafor runs the front desk, deposits and rebooking, a system she built herself in 2022 after the studio ran off a paper diary and Isaac's memory. The system behind it
Chair & Deposit Beyond the three agents, it adds bookings with deposits built into the flow itself, gift vouchers sold online for a first tattoo or piercing, and rebooking nudges timed per service… Open the working demo→The agents
- Appointment Setter Professional runs the deposit and rebooking system Grace currently carries by hand: SMS reminders against the 48-hour cancellation window, staged rebooking for a two-to-four session large piece, and the three-month nudge to book a healed-piercing jewellery upgrade. Wired to /contact and /pricing, where the deposit terms are explained. This is the single biggest hour-saver, because it is the one job Grace cannot leave for later without a slot going unfilled or a follow-up slipping.
- Quote Intake Agent Professional gathers reference photos, placement, size and style, fine line and blackwork with Isaac, colour and cover-up with Priya, before the sit-down at the table, turning a cold consultation into a design brief Isaac or Priya can start sketching from. Wired to /services/custom-tattoo-design-consultation. The artist opens the conversation with a direction already on the table, not a blank one.
- Receptionist Agent Basic answers calls and Instagram messages on Monday, Sunday and after hours the rest of the week, when they currently go to voicemail, and books straight into the consultation calendar. Wired to /contact. A message sent on a Sunday is a booked slot by Tuesday morning, not a voicemail waiting to be returned.
