Limited editions — Mara Iversen
Six years. Twelve places. Each one held until the land exhaled.
Acquire a printEvery frame holds a silence no one else was there to hear.
I spend weeks in remote country — waiting for the light, learning to read a place before I photograph it. Not for spectacle, but for the single moment a landscape lets go of its breath. Each edition is printed on museum-grade baryta, signed and numbered, and released in a run of twenty. Some of these places have already begun to vanish. The print is what remains.

It arrived, and the room changed. There is no other way to describe it.

Three years on, I still stop at it every morning. I have never felt that about a photograph before.

The Nullarbor piece holds an uncanny stillness. It belongs in the very best company.

Mara works with extraordinary patience. The Fiordland print is my most considered acquisition.
