The Atelier

A stone is only a beginning. The cut is where it learns to speak.

Facette is a small atelier of two cutters and one setter, working by hand and by appointment. We do not chase trends or carry a window display. We study a single rough stone for weeks before the first facet is placed — because light is patient, and so are we. Every piece leaves the studio with the geometry that lets it catch a room.

The Cut

Five ways to release the light.

Brilliant

The classic round. Built for fire — light enters and returns as a thousand sparks.

Step

Long parallel planes. Quiet, architectural, unforgiving of a lesser stone.

Cushion

Soft corners, deep pavilion. A warm, candle-lit glow rather than a flash.

Rose

Flat base, faceted dome. Reads like a drop of frozen water on the skin.

Old Mine

Cut by eye, never by machine. No two are alike, and that is the point.

Engagement

A single private sitting to choose the stone, then the ring built around it. We source ethically, cut in-house, and set by hand. Most commissions take eight to ten weeks.

Bespoke

Bring a stone, an heirloom, or only an idea. We draw, model in wax, and cut to your hand. Every bespoke piece is recorded in the studio ledger and yours alone.

Limited runs

Collections

Small seasonal releases — never more than twelve of any design. The current run, Glacier, is cut from pale Montana sapphire and ice-clear quartz.
